Playing with Botanical Inks Workshop – Saturday 12th August – 6.30-8.30pm

In this hands-on workshop, you’ll learn how to transform flowers, leaves, berries, and other plant materials into beautiful natural inks for writing, painting and creative practice. Together we’ll discover how different plants produce an astonishing range of colours, from soft golds and earthy browns to deep purples and rich greens.

We’ll cover the basics of gathering and preparing plant materials, extracting colour, and you’ll have the opportunity to experiment with a variety of botanical inks, test them on paper, and create your own unique colours.

Each participant will make and bottle their own botanical inks to take home, along with notes and inspiration for continuing the practice using plants from gardens, hedgerows, and the changing seasons.

This is a relaxed, creative workshop suitable for complete beginners and anyone curious about natural crafts, herbal traditions, art, or working more deeply with plants.
