Join me for a gentle late-summer forage walk exploring the hedgerows and wild plants of the season before gathering around the fire to create a delicious sweet wild blackberry oxymel to take home.
Together we’ll learn how to identify and respectfully harvest seasonal plants and berries, explore their traditional medicinal uses, and discover how food and medicine so often intertwine in the wild. Using freshly foraged blackberries, herbs, honey and vinegar, we’ll make a rich botanical oxymel — a beautiful remedy that is both nourishing and delicious.
Expect herbal teas, homemade cordials, storytelling, seasonal plants and a warm, intimate atmosphere rooted in connection to the land and the turning season.
A cosy and hands-on evening celebrating wild abundance, traditional remedies and the magic of hedgerow medicine. No experience needed. All materials and refreshments provided.

The forage walk will be held at a woodland in Belfast. It is essential to wear warm clothing as the majority of the session will be held outdoors. Please let me know in advance if you have any mobility issues as the site may not be accessible for everyone. I will email directions and some further information about the evening, so please check your junk mail in case it lands in there!
