Words and Music, Michelle Wooderson
There’s a whisper of autumn stirring in the trees
And the sweetness of summer blows kisses as she leaves
All the wildflowers are stealing
This change has me grieving
And my thoughts turn to you
Artemisia
All the plans that we made, like starlings took flight
They carried you with them but left me behind
Couldn’t catch them
Couldn’t hold you that tight
I was lost when you found me
Artemisia
O Artemisia, oh how I need you
When night falls I turn to your silver and white
There were times when I thought I’d never see the light
But you came to my dreams,
you gave me new eyes
Didn’t know that a love could fracture the light
Fling open the doors, let mystery inside
Now I know the darkness
Is teeming with life
And my heart’s full of thanks
Artemisia
O Artemisia, oh how I need you
When night falls I turn to your silver and white
There were times when I thought I’d never see the light
But you came to my dreams
you gave me new eyes
Trust in the seed, little one,
Trust in the sower,
and trust in the seasons,
the ebb and the flow,
We’ve forgotten that beauty still runs through our veins
Help us remember, in the time that remains
Help us remember, in the time that remains
